The Chair by Lalo is a newcomer, like the Clikk. Like the Tripp Trapp, it’s a chair intended to grow with your child. Like the Clikk, that growing ends somewhere in the toddler years. Stokke, a company based in Norway, follows traditional Scandinavian design with a light and natural wood, along with muted neutral shades and minimalist style. As minimalism keeps gaining traction, parents are drawn to simpler high chairs like the Clikk. Stokke also sells a line of mealtime accessories under the name Stokke Munch. The product line includes silicone bibs and bowls and a weighted bottom sippy cup. Wrap Up As a mom, though, you aren’t easily swayed by things like product design awards. You want to know why your child should sit in this particular high chair. Again, I’m not willing to take the Clikk down a peg for this. When my son was in a high chair, he only utilized the small area of the tray in front of him. If he did venture to the sides of the tray, it was only to make a mess with his food.There are very few downsides to adding a Stokke Clikk High Chairto your home. With its minimalist and attractive Scandanvain design, it can fit with any home’s interior. Plus, it was designed with a child’s proper eating posture in mind. We've owned both now and while I like that the Tripp Trapp offers more height adjustments, that's really all it has over the Ergobaby. A small tray may be a deal-breaker for you though. This high chair has a foam seat pad and an adjustable dinner tray (with silicone insert). It uses a five-point harness and comes bundled with an extra set of shorter legs for toddler mode. There is another option that Stokke has come out with called the Stokke Steps Chair if you are interested in a chair rather than a booster seat for a toddler or older child. This seat supports up to 187 lbs making it work far beyond toddler years for your child. Tray is difficult to slide on and off. There is too much friction in the mechanism. Requires two hands, plus a foot or two for bracing, to keep the whole chair from sliding around on the floor. Lastly, the Clikk high chair is significantly lower in price. If you aren’t really in the market for a high chair that lasts until adulthood, the Clikk can do the job for almost half the price. It basically is a step stool for kids to be up at counter height. Specs: The Clikk is an intelligently designed high chair. The chair was very easy to set up, and is easy to clean. European brands are held to a much higher standard than American brands when it comes to reducing toxicity, which is why I tend to prefer them.

Feet are not grippy to the floor, so it slides too much on smooth surfaces. This is particularly problematic with the tough to slide tray mechanism. Both the Clikk and The Chair are sleek, easy-to-clean, and promote good ergonomics with adjustable footrests. Similarities aside, the Clikk still comes out ahead. This is mostly due to the limitations of The Chair past mealtime. To “shrink” The Chair to a play chair, you have to buy additional chair legs.
