Seems a bit of a 'cash cow' since most will probably elect for the red one which equals more sale profit to me. The best part is the D-pad. While it still might not feel as good as other controller D-pads, the almost rusty red painted across it looks so, so good. Give me a good sale on these, maybe in a bundle with the side panels, and you'll have a sale (purple or red? purple or red?). But these prices are ridiculous. Look, if PS5 is still going to be this scarce and they are going to make new colors of this controller then the least they could do is make the controller work with PS4. It's just annoying at this point, if I'm being honest. If you prefer your controller hooked up to the console, few do it better than Razer's stunning Raiju pad on PS4.

Rural-Bandit eh it's still early early stages, nothing's certain yet other than the area and the budget, but it seems pointless trying to make it look good in a place we won't live in next year, touch wood.

In your search for pads, you may have read about chipped or modded controllers. These controllers are, technically, banned devices for PS4. In “pro” play situations it’s an automatic disqualification, and when playing online in shooters like Call of Duty, they carry an automatic ban if you’re caught using them.
